Obama Plans More War

Via Scoop.itSecular Curated News & Views

On January 5, Obama held a first ever administration Pentagon news conference. Its thinly veiled hawkishness explained his 2012 military agenda.   Its Asia/Pacific region policy challenges China and Russia. Its Middle East presence stresses confrontation and belligerency. Globally it plans relying increasingly on naval and air power. It also stresses destabilization, confrontation, and war when other methods don’t turn independent states into client ones.   He stressed counterbalancing China and Iran. Undeclared strategy includes confrontation and belligerency. Mindful of Republican opposition to defense cuts, he said America will “avoid repeating the mistakes of the past when our military was left ill-prepared for the future. As commander-in-chief, I will not let that happen again. Not on my watch.”

Editorial: Secular Government Bank

Via Scoop.itSecular Curated News & Views
If the United States owned the Federal Bank we could eliminate all Government taxes. We could eliminate Local, State, and Federal taxes. If our Government made money by loaning money at interest, the interest on the loans would  more than fund our Government at all levels.   Today the Federal Government profits goes in the pockets of private institutions and persons. There is no good reason private parties should control our public money supply!! We don’t need a Private Federal Reserve to circulate our public money. Could you become rich if you make profit on every dollar in circulation? Instead of our Private Federal Reserve making private individuals and institutions rich we should use the Interest charged on our public money to fund our Government and end the unnecessary tax burden of all US Citizens!   When will we wise up?   L8R, ~plasmaborne4rel

Saving the Post Office: The Models of Kiwibank and Japan

The USPS is a profitable, self-funded venture that is not supported by the taxpayers. It is funded with postage stamps—one of the last vestiges of government-issued money. Stamps are fungible and can be traded at par; and they are backed, not by mere government “fiat,” but by labor. One stamp will buy the labor to transport your letter 3000 miles.

LG Rumored To Be Getting First Crack At Google’s Newest Google TV Software | Cult of Android

Via Scoop.itAlt Digital

Google has consistently teamed up with manufactures to debut new Android software versions in a pure “Google Experience,” void of any manufacturer overlays. We’ve seen this with the smartphone Nexus line, as well as with the Motorola XOOM tablet. When it comes to Google TV however, there were actually two companies that had first crack at it, and as you already know, that didn’t go so well. For Google’s next version of Google TV, they’d like to make a better impression, and rumor has it that they may team up with LG to deliver it.
