Thursday, January 26, 2001 I started feeling really sick about 7:00pm. Doctor’s office was closed so did I need to suffer the whole night through? Of course not. I have Health Insurance so I went out to the emergency room at the local hospital. After a couple hours it was determined I had bronchus. Even though I’m still feeling bad I’m feeling better because I had access to a Doctor who prescribed medication to get me feeling better. I don’t often use the emergency room but it’s nice to know that if I’m feeling extremely sick, it’s an option. This is why as a Secular Egalitarian Antitheist Liberal I vote for Single Payer Health Care. No one should suffer needlessly in pain because they don’t have health insurance. We need to let our elected representatives know we support single payer health care. Lobby every day for the causes you believe in. Be assured the Health Insurance Corporations are talking to your elected representatives everyday even if we aren’t. So let’s be busy making our voices heard each and every day.
